Our Drop In runs on Mondays and Thursdays from 1.00pm to 3.00pm.

Informal chat, refreshments, and advice/information for anyone, especially those who are homeless, unemployed or seeking UK residency/asylum.  All vulnerable adults are welcome.  Refreshments take the form of coffee/tea on tap and a 2 course nutritional meal.

Occasionally we have a treat when volunteers from Shazad Yaseen Foundation cook for us.

SYF Volunteers at work

Our guests can also have a shower whilst they are here and we can wash and dry clothes – subject to how busy the washing machine/tumble dryer are.

We provide access to a laptop for guests to undertake job searches, and we also help with benefit applications. They can also use the laptops to communicate with friends and family.

There are also fun activities available such as occasional Bingo game, cards, dominoes, draughts and chess and some craft activities.

New!  Check out the poems of one of our Drop In guests Dawn Bland here…  Her poems share her experiences of domestic violence and mental health issues.  The publication of her book has been cathartic, both for her, and for those who read it.

Time to talk

During the Drop In sessions, we can arrange an opportunity to talk in confidence with a member of the Church Leadership Team or Pastoral Team.   We also provide a prayer room that can be used by guests at any time.

Facilitators: Becky Flowers (Night Shelter Coordinator), David Taylor, Florence Bradley and many wonderful volunteers.
