Children and young people of all ages and backgrounds are warmly welcome at WBC. We offer a range of activities for all ages, on Sundays and during the week. Children are welcome to come along to any of the groups appropriate to their age.

Activities for children and families
Acorns: Wednesdays at 9.30am to 11.00 (term time only)
Sunday School, Youth Group and Creche: Sundays at 10.30am
F.A.M. = Fun and More for YOUTH: This is a group for school years 6 to 11 and meets at the home of Kathy and Keith Smith. Call Centre Manager for more information. They meet twice a month on the 2nd and 3rd Sunday of each month, from 4.30pm to 6.30pm. They are then brought to WBC for café church and craftivism respectively. The group activities include discussion times, games, ‘Ask Me Anything’ slot, tea (pizza, wraps, sandwiches + cake) and a relaxed atmosphere for the youth to chill out together and get to know each other better.
Farsi Worship: Activities for the children of our Farsi speaking group are provided on Fridays at 6.30pm, whilst the adult Farsi speakers have their worship service.
Café Church: This is an all age informal and fun form of fellowship involving refreshments which many of our youth enjoy coming to. This is the 3rd Sunday of each month.
Craftivism Service: This is an all age informal and fun form of fellowship involving craft activities and some of our youth enjoy coming to this. This is the 2nd Sunday of each month at 6.30pm.

The children and youth Sunday morning groups start are at 10.30am each Sunday – term time only. Bi-Monthly there will be a celebration for all the children and young people together = ‘Make a Joyful Noise‘. More dates to be confirmed.
There will also be a family service bi-monthly where the children and youth participate in all age worship.
July / August 2018 = Some of our Youth go to Hillfields camp annually and some go to Greenbelt or ‘One Event’ festivals.
Wakefield Baptist Church takes Safeguarding very seriously and every volunteer working with children, youth and vulnerable adults is DBS checked every 3 years. They also sign an annual waiver and attend safeguarding training every 3 years. Details of the children regarding allergies, illness, contact details etc are kept in a secure place and renewed annually. Policies and procedures are in place and reviewed annually.

NO CHILDREN/YOUTH GROUPS in August
PLEASE NOTE that morning services throughout August will be all age and café style. This gives the Youth and Sunday School leaders a well earned rest and also introduces a more relaxed style of worship for those who prefer this.
